"Great view from bedroom facing Mt. Batur, can easily setup timelapse to catch sunrise. Good location for pickup if you are planning a Mt. Batur sunrise trek tour, pick up at 3:15am and 20min drive to start of hike (compared with pickup 1am from Ubud). Owner of hotel is a nice uncle, chill with me flying drone on his property for some great shots of the caldera rim. A cosy bed and breakfast with a great view and near some caldera rim restaurants. Would visit again!"

They missed the boat on that one. But the rest of the property is 10 out of 5 stars. Absolutely beautiful. Caution: for elderly that don’t like stairs. There are lots of stairs."

"If you are searching for total isolation, this villa is right up your alley. There are no taxi services and no restaurants other than the villa’s which has limited meal options. The villa is located in a farming and very poor part of Bali. The flies are constant which makes sitting outside uncomfortable. For meals, we ate in our room so as to elude them. We had three nights booked but only stayed for two."

Hot pools are drained every night and fresh water added so no chemicals used. Nice relaxing location. Would stay here again.
