"Best bits of this hotel - easy self check in and check out. Everything else is really quite basic which corresponds the price. It is great if you need to stay somewhere as you wait over for a flights in Edinburgh. Tram stops are in a walkable distance, or we just walked to the centre - I think it took us less than hour. "This B&B exceeded my partner and I’s expectations indeed. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile. We were able to leave our bags so we could go a wonder before checking in which was very convenient. The bedroom was perfect. From the jaw dropping views over dean village to the comfy big bed. It made it even more memorable with a snow day making Edinburgh feel like a winter wonderland. The breakfast was to die for, the staff were excellent. We will definitely recommend this...

"I can’t say enough good things about this place. The staff were so incredibly friendly, it was easily accessible from the city centre by the number 7, 14 or 11 buses and it’s quiet. The bed was super comfy and all other amenities were excellent. I was pretty jet lagged so I appreciated coming to this quiet area and resting. Thank you for everything and I will for sure be back!"

"Loved our stay here! Only issue was the shower was EXTREMELY hot please fix this. The WiFi is also slow. Despite these issues I willl still rate a 5 out of 5! "

"The area was lovely and a nice walk uphill towards Edinburgh centre. The room was incredibly clean, brew facilities in room available, working heater and tv, comfy bed. The owner was very warm and welcoming, breakfast is available also which is a pro for some. Only cons: bad shower pressure, jammy door lock, and jammy window"

"Great spot! Check-in was a bit rough; I didn't have service, so I didn't get the email about self-check-in, and when I did get the info it led to an occupied room. We got it sorted shortly and onward was a great, comfy spot."

"The staff were extremely helpful. The restaurant of the hotel serves Indian & Nepalese food. We came back after 10 o’clock after going to a music concert and they very kindly kept our order hot for us. Both our Indian meal and Scottish breakfast were delicious "

"6 Brunton Place was a step back in time, but with all the subtle amenities and luxuries of modern day! Our host Hillary was impeccable, polite, friendly, and very informative. "This is an unsafe place to stay. Were advised to park our car within range of cctv. The door of our room had recently been broken into as the lock was badly replaced. Dirty linen on the bed . This is being polite . Very unreliable person managing the property. Avoid at all costs"

"I was extremely pleased with this hotel. Each room has a kitchenette in it. The rooms are extremely quiet and come with blackout shades. It's located on the Royal Mile so you are surrounded by all sorts of shops, restaurants, etc. I felt very safe in this area. So many things to see -- very historic. "

"It's basically on the Royal Mile so it's super easy to get to & you won't get lost. When i went to bed, some girls had left the bathroom kind of gross, but when i got up in the morning, I was so happy to find that it had been cleaned up. People were pretty respectful of quiet places which is always appreciated. I was in a mixed room but i felt very safe, something I value as a single chick. Staff was very pleasant & asked if there was anything they could improve on my way out. It was a good experience all around! "

Great location, highly recommend

"Excellent location to explore the city from. Less than a five minute walk from Waverley station and walking distance to lots of the tourist attractions. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We stayed in a suite which was fantastic. The king size bed was really comfortable. Lovely free standing bath and huge shower in the bathroom. Great high quality toiletries too and the bathrobes and slippers were a lovely touch. Great room to unwind in after a day exploring the city. We didn’t use the gym as it looked small. Mainly cardio machines with a few free weights and no benches. But the pool was lovely and warm and the sauna and steam rooms were great to use after a swim. "
