This is a beautiful, heritage building with lots of lovely touches--nice robes, cookies, chocolates in the bar fridge nice toiletries--that made staying there a real pleasure. My room was quirky and quite comfortable, though I would have appreciated a comfortable chair more than a freestanding full length mirror. There isn't room for both. Bathroom fixtures, taps especially , seemed loose and a bit precarious. The private balcony surrounded by trees was a treat. Quick response from the staff by text for any issues but otherwise very unintrusive, to the point where I hardly saw anyone besides other guests. Could hear noise occasionally from other guests but everyone was quite careful and considerate, thankfully; I wonder how the noise levels would be if there were any rowdier guests. Breakfast room was crowded, and breakfast was not as delicious as I'd hoped based on other reviews, but pleasant enough and included in the price.
