"I booked a hot tub weekend away for my husband and I to the Steadings and what a beautifully clean and comfortable cottage it was. The owners met us as we drove to the cottage to show us around. They had also left us a welcome pack which included a bottle of Prosecco, that was a lovely extra. We made full use of the log burner as it wasn’t the best of weather when we were there. "What a lovely cottage! It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Beautiful, quiet setting near Stirling. We explored the jail and the castle. Took the train to Edinburgh (not a lot of parking at the station). Drove to the ferry to Isle of Arran (take your car if you can). This cottage is in a great location for touring the Edinburgh/Glasgow area."

"Working over Christmas we booked this break to get away from all the madness. Just us and the dog. Thimblewynd was just perfect and we loved it. Peaceful and comfy throughout we chilled out in front of thr log burner or in the hot tub, the tv wasn't on once! We eat at the Kirkstyle Inn which was lovely but made ourselves breakfast and snacks in the well equipped kitchen. There was not a single thing we could fault and we loved every minute. Thanks to Maggie for hosting us. "

"The house was gorgeous and very comfortable. We did have to download an app to get a precise location which was unexpected, but easy enough to use. The beds were very comfortable and the location beautiful. If you are looking for a rural retreat in order to explore the beautiful scenery, it's a wonderful choice! Word of warning: careful with the upstairs windows as flies like to congregate on them!"

"This place was fantastic! Beds were comfy, place was clean and the hot tub was amazing. Wallace was incredible… I got into a car accident and he really saved the day helping me. The location is excellent; off-grid, beautiful surroundings and lots of animals. The perfect getaway if you want to relax and be in nature. 10/10 would recommend, I’ll definitely be back. "

"Had a great stay over new year at the properties. One family in one bungalow and us in the other. Property was clean and fresh. Beautiful welcome items left for us by the owners, who were lovely and couldnt do enough for us. Woke up to the spectacular views and literally could have sat and watched the horses all day! The lodges were cosy and warm. We all loved it. The only thing i would have preferred was a slightly earlier check-in time, perhaps 3pm instead of 5pm. But thats just wee personal...
