"The views were spectacular, staff were excellent and could not do enough for you meals were delicious, the hotel is quite tired looking and could do with a fresh look, but it wouldn't stop me from visiting again. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay for the two nights we were there."

"Arrived on Friday night, late for checking in and dinner, he asked the kitchen and we were able to dine, Saturday/Sunday morning breakfast was amazing, we both had the Full Breakfast, between the accommodation/staff and food the weekend stay was amazing and will be booking again, last but not least the price for the weekend was very reasonable "

"We stayed for 2 nights. On arrival, the reception staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We went to our room which was a king-size sea view. The view is even better than any picture will have you believe. Breathtaking. Loved having a little balcony with comfortable chairs and just enjoying the view and silence. The room was spotless. On the 2nd day, the cleaners chapped the door and asked if we wanted anything cleaned or if any of the tea/coffee/teacakes needed replenished. This was a nice thing to do. The bed was massive and comfortable. The bedding itself was a great quality. The shower was always hot and a good power too. Great shampoos etc in the room to try. The grounds are well cared for and we enjoyed walks by the highland cows and down to the seafront. The meals were all great. Portions are huge. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was one of the best i’ve ever had and locally sourced. Reception staff also gave some advice for a place to go a nice walk and we enjoyed a day out in Kilmartin as a result. Overall, I cannot say a bad word or complain about any detail. Superb all round and we’ll be back at the earliest opportunity. "

"Our stay was absolutely perfect, the hotel was lovely and the staff were absolutely superb, I especially loved watching the chickens outside in the garden. It was that lovely we are heading back in July. "

"Had a most enjoyable stay at The Old Cottage with wonderful hosts Karen and Darren. Really comfy double bed & great shower. Had the benefit of a gorgeous roaring fire in spacious lounge area at night with lots of DVDs and a library of books about stuff to explore in the local area. Darren and Karen were such lovely people, warm , friendly and gave helpful tips about the locality. Breakfast was fabulous, tasty and varied. Would highly recommend this B&B and will definitely be back. Many thanks to Darren and Karen for an amazing break. "

"We loved our time here. The house was clean, cosy and homely, had everything we needed and more and the master bed was soooo comfortable! We had a minor issue whilst staying but Patsy the owner was very friendly and communicated well and acted quickly to resolve, she was a pleasure to deal with. The house is perfectly located as every window you look out of house a different amazing view. Spectacular walks right out of the back gate and out the front down by the loch. We were lucky to have snow whilst we were there making it all the more breathtaking. We travelled to some of the local areas, taking in even more views along the way, Inveraray was our favourite, especially The George Hotel. The shop a few minutes walk away hosts a pop up licensed restaurant in the village hall, so we took advantage of this being so close and the food and environment were great and the locals were very friendly which made for a lovely night. We would definitely visit here again, it would be beautiful in any season."
