With Hawaiian architecture at it’s best, Koa Resort will give you the feel of vintage Hawaii. The resort is immaculately maintained, with beautifully landscaped grounds, palm trees swaying overhead and gorgeous flowering plants all around. What sets Koa Resort apart from other condos on the island is that it boasts one of the largest pool in all of South Maui. You will truly feel in paradise when you enjoy an evening soak in the hot tub with the palms swaying overhead. Beautifully refinished tennis courts are also on the property as well as BBQ grills to cook your evening meals.
Our newly renovated condo includes 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It comes fully furnished to meet all of your vacation needs. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils and appliances. Enjoy dinner at the large dining table inside and your evening beverage on the palm-shaded lanai. Outside of the standard amenities, we also supply beach towels and beach chairs.

Directly across from Koa Resort is the longest beach on Maui, Sugar Beach. With a nearly 5 miles stretch of continuous sand, Sugar Beach is a great beach for a morning run or a romantic evening walk.
In the mornings, the snorkeling off of Sugar Beach is one of the best kept secrets in all of Maui. Only 50-100 yards off shore you can see colorful coral, marine life, and if you’re lucky, the famous Maui Hanu (turtle).
Located just a few minutes drive are grocery stores and restaurants. Costco and the airport are a short 20 min drive away. Kihei is also a great central location for any of your day trips around the island. Kaanapali is a 40 min drive North and Wailea is a 10 min drive South.

Stayed for 10 days, listing is accurate and a good value for location. Small issues (burnt out lights, some BBQ tools that would be nice to have, limited cleaning supplies, coffee filters) but overall a good value. AC worked great, beds were comfortable and location was great.

Great Location
Close to everything with a great pool. The condo was spotless when we arrived. I was a little worried about the size of the washer & dryer because there were 5 of us but it worked great & kept up with us all week. Would definitely recommend. It was also nice that the kids had their own bathroom upstairs. Thumbs up.

Wonderful location, great for families
We enjoyed our stay very much. The best part was it fit our two families very well. The bunk beds upstairs have great mattresses for the kids. We messaged to ask for oven mitts and they were delivered. Lots of towels, both bath and beach. The wagon was also in great shape and perfect for heading to the nearby beaches.

Outstanding vacation rental
We loved staying here. The the unit was updated and clean. Air conditioning worked great. Plenty of beach supplies made it easy to go to the beach daily. Additionally the beach is just a short walk across the street. This place is a great central location in Kihei making it easy for us to explore the island. I highly recommend and hope to come back one day. Thank you for the wonderful rental, lots of amazing family memories were made here.

Decent Spot
Enjoyed our stay here. had nearly everything you'd need. It could use a few more basic items (more than 1 dish towel and dish cloth, oven mitts, BBQ tools). The lighting in the unit was quite challenged as well, the hallway light doesn't work and the dining room lights have a seizure inducing flicker that we couldn't navigate consistently. Overall it was good and we would stay again.

Great place in Kihei
This property was recently remodeled and looks fresh and new. We were close to everything in Kihei and short drives to Wailea and about 30 minutes to Lahaina. The condo was clean and comfortable. The only drawback was one bedroom did not have air conditioning. The loft was great for the kiddos and had its own bathroom. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in Kihei
We really enjoyed our stay. The amenities (pool, tennis, bbq) and location were great. The condo appears to have had some upgrades so the pictures do not do it justice. Kitchen was great and well stocked. We loved the deck. Although there was not air conditioning in one bedroom it was still a comfortable temperature for sleeping. The one thing that could use an upgrade are the blinds and curtains as some did not open properly. Overall our stay was great and we would definitely stay again.

Great location
We really enjoyed our stay at this condo.. it was very roomy for two families of four. The AC worked great( we were a little worried from reviews, but they worked fine). Loved the updated kitchen, I loved that there was no tv in the living room. The only down side was upstairs there were some bugs. Not sure if it’s because there isn’t a glass for the windows upstairs, it’s just a screen and glass shutters. The umbrella and beach chairs had some wear and tear, Overall would stay at this place again

The condo over all was nice. It had everything we needed. The only issue we had was the neighborhood teenagers were jumping the pool fence and disturbed everyone there. We couldn't even enjoy the pool. One of the other guest that was staying there called the police. The kids still came back with even more kids. We even called the management and nothing was done.

Great place just a short walk from the beach and a great pool/hot tub area.
Overall experience was good. Great location. Nice pool/hot tub area. Space was as advertised. Clean and tidy when we arrived. Only complaint would be minor maintenance issues. Dishwasher was not working properly as door would not latch shut so it couldn’t be used. The lint trap cover in dryer was broken causing the need to fish out a lot of small items like socks as they could fall through. Other than those two maintenance items the property was great and I would recommend this location to other guests.

Good choice for family
The condo provided a mostly comfortable stay for our family of 8, offering ample space and amenities. One of the double beds was not very comfortable, but we were so busy exploring the amazing island each day that sleep still came quickly! However, it could benefit from some small additional touches to enhance the overall experience (in the check-in, be more clear as to which unit it is upon arrival as we initially walked the wrong way from the parking lot and spent 10 minutes wandering the complex after a midnight arrival, some electrical outlets that look unsafe in one bedroom, provide enough cloths to do dishes and enough pillowcases for all pillows… a small bag of coffee for day 1 would be a simple touch too). All appliances worked well, though the dryer knob is finicky. There is a nice sized kitchen to prepare food and the BBQs were great! The highlight was undoubtedly the pool, which provided a refreshing and enjoyable way to relax each day. We enjoyed the use of the tennis court too, along with the provided racquets. The location was great and a short drive to shops and a central location to drive to other Maui highlights. Overall, a decent option for families and we would stay here again.

The condo was clean and central location to many Maui activities. The remodel that was done was fine for a rental visit, but the gaps in the floor boards uneven tile in the shower and the drawer that didn't open in the kitchen because it hit the stove would drive me crazy if I lived their full time. The beach toys/chairs/umbrellas in the chest outside were great. The unit is on the 2nd floor, so keep that in mind. The grounds were great, we used the BBQs, table tennis, pool and tennis courts. Easy to park, and they had a rolling cart to help you get your items to and from your unit. The unit had no laundry soap, or condiments, just a few spices in the cabinet. If you need more than that then be prepared to stop at Target for additional supplies. We can never figure out how to get the back sliding door to lock (just couldn't find a lock or lever) and there were no curtains leaving you somewhat exposed in the evening. Overall good stay for our extended family of 8 who ate/prepped every meal in the unit. We texted the owners number a few times with questions but never received a response, luckily they weren't urgent issues.

Our flight was moved due to a broken airplane. We contact owner upon arrival asking to get an early check in as the new flight got us in very early. Owner was not very accommodating and honestly didn’t really want to help. After numerous messages she let us In an hour early. For the 6 hours we were told the cleaning people needed , the place was dirty. Pictures show fridge with ice maker, fridge is a dorm room special. Air conditioning does not work, condo is very hot and sleeping was tough. We have stayed at many VRBOs in Maui. We definitely will not return to this one. Maybe if it sits empty, the owner will appreciate the customer.

Mixed review - check the photos and details carefully before renting
This property isn't totally awful and the pool is great, but the listing is misleading as there are several issues. First, while the listing says it'll sleep 6-8 people, 4 of those are 5 foot long children's bunk beds. So, it really won't sleep 6-8 adults - just 4 adults and 4 children. Second, one of the BRs doesn't have A/C. There is A/C in the main living space, but that is a split A/C unit that doesn't really help cool the 2nd BR. Third, the "beach chairs and beach toys" they provide are 3 old and decrepit chairs and an old, rusty umbrella. Truly embarrassing. Fourth, they do provide beach towels, but the managers must have search long and hard to find the cheapest, thinnest beach towels available. Lastly, while there are "smart TVs," they are only in the two BRs - none in the main room. So, if you want to watch TV, you'll have to gather in a BR where there are no chairs.

Kihei Family Vacation
Overall location and resort were very nice. The number of rooms which was my mistake looked like there were 3 rooms and a loft. There are two rooms and a small loft with 4 smaller than twin size beds but worked well enough. Maui is beautiful and we were not in the condo very much so to have a place to sleep and the kitchen living room is open concept with lots of room. We really enjoyed our stay!

Koa Resort
The condo was fine, some parts were updated and fine. There were a lot of things that didn’t work. The light and fan in the living area didn’t work, the hall light didn’t work, the windows didn’t open and close- many of the knobs were stripped, the blinds in some of the rooms didn’t open and there was no way to pull them up to let the air blow through the unit, and the pillows were very uncomfortable. We enjoyed the pool and sitting on the lanai at night. The kitchen was pretty nice and we appreciated the ice from the refrigerator. The bunk beds were good and the bathrooms were nice. It would have been nice to have somewhere to leave our luggage until we could get into our unit. All the people we met were very nice.
