Blenkinsopp Castle Inn
5/5 Excellent
Quaint and welcoming
"We enjoyed our one night stay whilst up at Hadrian's Wall. Gary, Carol and their staff were very friendly, the service was great, the room was very comfortable and the food was excellent in the charming restaurant.
Minor confusion on arrival about our booking was quicky resolved without issue (computer problem / booking platform) i.e. what room we had booked and what was included in our booking.
Room 5 was spacious, beautifully furnished and immaculately clean with French doors onto a small patio area.
Don’t be put off by comments about the approach amongst the nearby residential retirement lodges (peaceful and well maintained) or occasional motor homes parking in the car park.
It's quirky and quaint, in the castle's coach stables connected to what remains of a 19th-century turreted country mansion and ruin of a 14th-century tower house (castle)."
