"The hotel is quite a long distance from Bangkok, but for a couple of nights it is worth a visit (and the 2-3 hour drive across from Bangkok). The setting on the river is beautiful. We have one of the rooms with the kayaks, and these are easily accessible/ readily available. The only drawbacks were that there really is nothing to do in the local area, and to get into the town centre the only option is to use the hotel's taxi service (no other local services or Grab options available). "The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk to Bridge Over River Kwai and conveniently 10 minutes walk to Guan Lin Temple, just on the other side of the Bridge. "Nice accomodation facing the river. The furnishing is dated but the bedding pillows are decent. As the room faces the river, the other side of the river has live band so it is not suitable for people who are light sleepers (do bring ear plugs). Staff are friendly and the place is clean."

"This is a lovely boutique hotel adorned with antique toy memorabilia. The restaurant offers a fantastic setting on the canal that’s full of wildlife. The property itself is surrounded by coconut farms. It’s a short drive to several floating markets, the train market and temples. The pool is quiet and relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful. "Great very good room. . Gardens kept nice so Beautiful area to look over to see the river that flows past. Staff was very pleasant & helpfull especially chot as because i got there very early he was managing the front desk reception but took time out to get my room made up 1st after previous occupants left 12.00 midday.
