"Warm & helpful welcome in arrival even though we arrived at tea time on Saturday night. A table in the restaurant had been reserved for us even without us having to ask beforehand. The room was lovely, clean, spacious, with a huge bed & all facilities we required, as well as a Whirlpool bath & separate shower. The bed was huge & very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was reasonably priced & delicious as well as a good variety. Drinks were reasonable too. An excellent place to stay & worth...

"After a bit of a shaky start, which, to be fair was outside the staff's control, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The George. We were staying there in order to check its potential as guest accommodation for guests attending our daughter's wedding in 2026. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts and evening meals were delicious."

"Beautiful BandB. I arrived at 930 as pub was closing which was a shame. Room was fresh and very well cared for but freezing. The thermostat on the radiator did not control the radiator and i could not get it working so was very cold. The radiator came on in the morning which tells me it was switched off the previous evening! On morning of check out which is 11am, i was woken by the housekeeper letting herself into my room. Not happy"
