Glad there wasn't a heatwave as it would probably get quite hot - it's old so not air-conditioned and the room was under the eaves. Convenient for Henley, Wallingford and walks in Cotswold AONB, Ridgeway etc. Pretty area. Brakspears beer very tasty."

"We were in room 6a but we didn’t manage to sleep properly at all due to whoever was above us, continuous banging throughout the night until very late. They were also loud. Other than that beds comfy, shower lovely and powerful! And clean room."

"I saw lots of complaints on reviews but gave it a chance as it was very cheap. Basically - you get what you pay for, and a bit more. For £45 - £20 deposit I got a reasonable room with coffee making facilities and very good service. I would stay again as it was so cheap and really friendly staff. Many thanks"

"Nice public house hotel, initial issue with parking as full with parents collecting children, check in issue as could not find key, woken up at 5.00am with banging from below my room, breakfast not until 8.30. Room very comfortable and tidy, area around property very nice. WI-FI a little slow"

"Terrible first night in tiny single room in the Manor, couldn't control heating, room far too hot, open windows couldn't be secured so rattled all night. Squeaky, bouncy bed. 'Private bathroom' actually separate from room so had to lock room (lock impossible to understand), take massive bathroom key and towells to bathroom, which was very uninviting, lock up and unlock again. Didn't appreciate label on shower dispenser saying Do Not Remove, or one above taps saying Hot Water - ??? Felt like an...
