"DOOR KEYPAD ISSUES! Front lobby door to the street would sometimes simply just be open so anyone could come in? When we exited or entered, we'd wait for the door to lock (sometimes it correctly locked instantly). Our room keypad didn't work and after the first night it didn't work at all. But after a lengthy call and waiting - maintenance arrived quick - but had to replace the entire keypad. The new keypad still had some quirkiness unlike typical keypads (sometimes it would take a few minutes...

"Located in a great spot right on canal couple min walk to the French quarter. Super clean and pretty quiet parking is kinda pricey since you have to pay for a garage somewhere but would definitely book again "

"Great location for the French Quarter. There’s also a boutique food market at the same building which is very convenient. I originally booked a one-bedroom/bath unit; but was surprisedly upgraded to a two-bedroom/2-bath loft. Very spacious. Well-appointed kitchen. Washer/dryer in unit as well. "

"Building is in a good location (very close to Bourbon street but far enough away that it was relatively quiet at night). Apartment had everything that we needed and was clean. Just an FYI, similar to some other reviews, there are some doozy stairs in this building, which is not a surprise since it’s in a old building. But keep in mind if you are traveling with someone that has mobility issues. Host was easy to get in contact with and very responsive. We very much appreciated that as we ended up...

"The apartment was super clean and cozy. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was a short walk to the streetcar line and there was sufficient room for parking on the street. We are very happy with our choice to stay at this VRBO."

"We had a great time in New Orleans in this apartment. The parking garage was a nice to have but the location is walking distance from everywhere so if you dont have a car no big deal. The night club was a little annoying for an early riser but that was communicated up front so we knew what to expect. If i come back to New Orleans i will definitely stay here."

"Host was great, communication was prompt and check in was a breeze. But...some issues we had was the bathroom door does not lock or close all the way. The 3 bedrooms are connected, meaning if you are in the 3rd bedroom you have to walk thru the other 2. Other than that the beds were comfortable and the porch cats were friendly:) "

"Our stay here was pretty good! Pretty close location to the French quarter, pretty clean studio overall, only thing I would say is AC wasn’t the best. I believe we couldn’t go lower than 70. Something to keep in mind if you’re visiting on a hot weekend."

"We loved it. It is exactly like the photos and very quiet! It was rainy and cold while we were there so we didn’t get to enjoy the balcony, but it is lovely. Great area to walk and explore, which we did! We enjoyed being close enough to walk to the French quarter but still in a quiet area. "

"From beginning to end, even before the trip started. Michelle was a gem; she kept me updated, stayed in contact, and was just very helpful. The condo was right in the action and was able to walk or catch a ride if need be. For future stays, this will be our home away from home!."

Wonderful, except rude receptionists last day

"Fabulous historic hotel with some truly wonderful and giving staff. From the “bellhops”, bar and restaurant staff to the concierge nothing was too much trouble for them. Balcony room looking over the pool quite small for two with luggage, but it is an old building. Only letdown were a couple of miserable receptionists on our last day. Rude, unhelpful and obviously did not want to be there. Everything seemed like a bother to these particular two, spent a lot of time on the phone and ignored everyone else when doing so, not even an acknowledgment you were there or a smile. Such a shame a simple thing like this can spoil a fabulous hotel in, what is for us, a once in a lifetime trip. "

"This quaint property was in a perfect location for our visit to the French Quarter. It is within an easy walk to the Natchez paddlewheel (just across the street), the French Market and Cafe du Monde, Bourbon Street, the trolley stations, and many restaurants. The staff was very friendly. The inn felt like a boutique hotel with several buildings, each with just a few guest rooms. The room was spacious, quiet, and nicely appointed. We would definitely stay there again on a future trip to NOLA!"

"What an amazing stay at Lafayette New Orleans hotel it was my first time being in New Orleans and the staff was very helpful in helping me with locations the room was very clean. My only complaint was the refrigerator had a weird smell, but I didn’t use it. I just opened it all in all love the city of New Orleans. The hotel was perfect walking distance to all different locations for sightseeing and I will be coming back again soon."
