"We booked this hotel following positive feedback from friends. I can safely say this was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. From the warm hospitality of the staff, to the cleanliness of the room, the exquisite food, and the range of facilities at our leisure, it was just incredible. The spa and its heated outdoor pool was a particular highlight. It was a simply phenomenal experience. Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but worth every single penny. "

"We've just returned from a two night stay at Ednam House hotel. Its a hotel with a traditional feel. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a courtyard view. On the other side is the most magnificent river views. Breakfast was nice and staff extremely pleasant. Wouldnt hesitate to return or recommend to anyone considering a visit "

"Very good and clean hotel, 2 minutes walk from the train station and 5 minutes walk from the town centre. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. They allowed us to leave our bags there before checking in. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast was essential, but good. I had a lovely stay, definitely would stay here again."

"The staff were so friendly and accommodating, from my phone call to let them know that I might not arrive until 10pm to the welcome I received when I managed to be a bit earlier. The locals were very friendly showing how popular the bar was! The bed was comfortable and breakfast (continental) had a wide range of choices. "The welcome was was warm and the room large and clean. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night and it was delicious with impeccable service. We had breakfast on two mornings, again food was very good. Two small criticisms from our stay was that the bed/mattress was very firm but this is about personal taste so may be fine for others! We spoke to reception and while they couldn’t offer a different room they did provide a mattress topper which resolved the issue and we were happy with that. The second criticism was that after we drank the water on the first night, it wasn’t replaced by housekeeping which i would have expected. Would definitely stay again though we had a lovely time "
