"Lovely place to stay. Room was spotless. You could tell entering the room that the couple who own the property were truly passionate about the hotel. Nice little extras like biscuits/chocolate/shampoo/shower gel. Nice selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate. Hotel in a nice location - 1 mile walk from train station, quiet nice area near race course, but also close to City Centre"

"Slightly complicated check in process with nobody on site and having to call a mobile number. However, once I was in everything was very clear. My room was up 2 very steep sets of stairs. It was compact but clean, with a small ensuite. The shower pressure was very weak unfortunately, but otherwise the room was excellent value for money. "Liked size of bedrooms and bathrooms . Easy walk in shower for mild mobility problems . Good property to share with adult son in second room . Heating very responsive . Host kept in contact to check if any refills etc needed . Only downside for us are stairs access but there were good handrails . "
