"Japanese style hotel with nice services"

"From the moment we arrived at the Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel in Taipei, we were impressed by the modern yet warm ambiance and the exceptional level of service. The hotel is perfectly located very near to Ximen MRT station—which made getting around the city incredibly convenient. Whether we were heading out for food adventures or sightseeing, everything was easily accessible. The room was spotless, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. The bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in, and we especially appreciated the spacious layout, high-quality amenities, and a well-equipped bathroom that included a separate shower and bath. The views of the city skyline from our room were an added bonus. Staff were consistently polite, professional, and eager to help with anything we needed. From helping with restaurant recommendations to giving local tips, their hospitality really made a difference. We also loved the quiet, relaxing atmosphere after a long day exploring Taipei. Despite being in a lively area, the room was perfectly insulated from any noise, allowing for peaceful, uninterrupted rest. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations. It combines Japanese-style hospitality with the energy of Taipei’s most vibrant district. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again."

"The best of the best! Jeffrey Chung is the finest Conceirge I have ever encountered. I can’t say enough about this hotel. They believe wholeheartedly in Customer Delight. I left my phone in a cab as I was dropped at the hotel one afternoon. Jeffrey assured me not to worry — that everyone gets their items returned in Taipei. He was so right. He saw to it and the taxi driver (so honorable) returned my phone. I look forward to returning to Taiwan and definitely staying at the Shangri-La Far Eastern. Susan April 2025"

"5 star hotel in convenient location across the road from Nanjing Fuxing MRT which made it easy for us to get around anywhere in Taipei by MRT. There are three 7-11 convenience stores in close walking proximity for drinks / snacks. Hotel buffet breakfast is truly excellent with a broad range of delicious hot and cold options to cater for western and Asian palates. They also have multiple chefs immediately preparing fresh noodle soup / omelette / eggs your way / and dishes that can vary on a daily basis such as wagu beef with potato mash gratin, spring onion pancake. There is limited hot vegetarian options from the buffet, however I was informed that you can request a vegetarian meal set from the waitress. The hotel room is very clean, spacious and quiet with good sound proofing and blockout curtains for a restful sleep at night. Daily free bottled fresh water is provided in the room. There is an indoor swimming pool available that needs pre-booking to use. We didn’t end up utilising this but wanted it as a backup option for our children who enjoy swimming. Staff are very polite and helpful. We are a family of 4 with 2 children aged 11 and 12y. We stayed together in the deluxe twin room with an extra bed and this was comfortably sized for us. This was our first time in Taiwan and I would highly recommend this hotel! "

"The hotel is great fun and very close to the main station but the roads are hectic so crossing them takes ages There are lots of small shops and cafes in the area and it's easy to get around on the metro."
