"This chalet has great proximity to both hidden valley resort and Huntsville. The host was easy to communicate with. The chalet is rustic and cozy with spacious bedrooms. There have obviously been pets there in the past so not for you if you are sensitive to this. Also make sure you are equipped to use chrome cast if you want to watch TV. "

"The cottage was gorgeous!! All new finishes, beautiful decor and very clean and tidy. The big picture windows looked out into the trees, it was like being in a tree house! We cooked thanksgiving dinner there and the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed, very well stocked. The 20 somethings really enjoyed the pool table and everyone loved sitting on the back deck with a drink, enjoying the beautiful view. There was a great fire pit but we ran out of time to use it. "This is an extremely pleasant, comfortable cottage, and we had a marvellous stay! The living area is spacious with splendid windows that look out on the lake and a terrific wood burning stove. It being February, it was covered in ice and snow. There were snowshoes at the cottage which we used on the lake and in nearby Arrowhead Provincial Park. We definitely want to go back!"

Hidden Valley Resort, Ascend Hotel Collection

"The staff, Charlene & Richard, were excellent with customer service. Both answered all my questions politely. The pool and hot tub were disappointing. It was clear the facilities need upgrading and the hot tub had green algae (?) on the outer side of the tub. The wall paper/paint was bubbled. The room was clean, but again there was signs of neglect and/or need of painting/wallpapering. "
