"Sometimes a hotel exceeds expectation. I was staying one night as part of a business trip. To find the hotel in a wood was a pleasant surprise. "Stylish room (although perhaps a bit style-over-substance e.g. mirror was offset from basin which made it difficult to shave) in interesting building. Lovely surrounding area. "Wonderful hotel. It is supported by students at a local hospitality college but honestly we would not have noticed. The rooms were clean and large, and the building is historic; even the key was a real key. The breakfast was quite good. Everyone was so nice. Minor complaints: the towels could be better as could the toilet paper! The hotel is also not readily accessible by public transportation. However, if you have a car, it is terrific."

"Fantastic hotel for discovering city . The friendliness of its amazing staff with their local knowledge and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was brilliant and the little welcome drink was much appreciated after an early flight. Would definitely return."
