"The hotel was clean and well furnished. We had a balcony room which had fabulous view of the river, a great place for watching nature around you. It was very peaceful. The pool area is good with separate pool for toddlers. This also overlooks the river. The staff were excellent. All polite and helpful which you find a lot in Sri Lanka. "Beautiful property with super friendly staff and good food options for breakfast and dinner. Incredible view of Kandy and surroundings. "

"The staff was very helpful (for instance, they offered umbrellas when we were going out as it was raining and made us fresh tea each morning). The room was clean and good value. The property is in walking distance to Lake Kandy and the temple."

"Great little property. Staff is really nice. I mean really nice. Pool was decent. Location is a little secluded and quiet, but you can get to town in less than 10 mins in car. Don't use tuk tuks. It's challenge for them to climb the hills. Not a new facility but its maintained pretty well."

"It is my second stay at Galavilla. I love this place so much. I was happy that the hotel is well developt. I feel as a home. The morning view form the room is realy breathtaking. The hotel is open around 5 years but still everythings is as new.I never see it in another hotels in Sri Lanka. I can recomend everyone who like nature and relax."

"It is very nice hotel, the view is pretty, but the staff are not trained at all, their is poor. The food is okay, heavy in the SriLankan food. I love the chef very helpful, excellent English, and pleasant. unfortunately I forgot his name. "
