"Booked to stay here for an authentic Ryokan Onsen experience on our Japan holiday. This was our first time at both a ryokan and an Onsen so we don’t have an awful lot to compare it to on those aspects. However, the positives of the hotel were that the staff were very friendly and happy to help. They spoke a small amount of English and were happy to try to assist when needed. "First time at a ryokan, so I had no specific expectations. Traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast were excellent. Close to bus stop that’s only about 10 minutes from the train and bus stations. Shuttle service is also available. 10-15 walk from the Hida No Sato open-air museum, although it’s a fairly steep uphill walk."

"We are the repeaters. This the rare co-ed onsen which allows you to go in with your friends and family. The onsen was filled with milky warm water so that you can stay in long hours and enjoy other people's company. Very relaxing environment surrounded by mountains. The food was omakase and very good. We enjoyed all of the local cuisine items with great beer and sake. "
