Our only complaint is that the dishware, specifically the coffee mugs, were not clean (gross) and the microwave was a little knarly inside. "The location of Islander on the Beach was perfect! 15 minutes north of the airport. Right in the middle of the island. Heading North to Hanalei was a 50min drive and heading south to Waimea was roughly 50minutes. The resort was clean and beautiful. The pool/jacuzzi area was just as nice and the pool bar was the cherry on top. Our room was a studio room over looking the ocean. Going to sleep with the waves was so relaxing. There is A/C for this unit but most nights we slept with it off and slider...

"Great location and amenities. The owner communicated thoroughly, providing instructions and helpful bits of information for the rental and the area we were visiting. Lots of beach supplies such as snorkel gear, flotation noodles, flippers, umbrella, beach towels/blankets, chairs, boogie boards, a few beach toys, and netted carry bags. "For a budget friendly price, it was a very spacious 2 bedroom/bathroom villa. The rooms are dated but totally fine. The only complaint was the master room in B16 did not cool and smelled mildewy. I ended up turning off that unit and blew a fan from the living down the hall to the bedroom. That worked ok. I did tell the desk about the AC issue. The grounds and access to the Outrigger pools and bars welas great. Very friendly staff. Would stay again. "
