We just spent a week at Kauai Shores and cannot think of a single negative. This resort is outstanding. If you are looking for a clean, well-run, place for real people this is for you. If you want a pretentious glamour resort full of complaining guests go elsewhere. We had activity plans every day and ended up ditching most so we could relax on the beautiful beach, soak in the hot tub, and watch Tropical fish in the saltwater kiddy pool next door. We were very dad to depart and will return next year for sure, except 2 weeks this time.

The location was good for access to shopping, dining, and beach access. Parking was very limited if you arrive late in the afternoon and evening plus parking stalls were too narrow resulting in drivers over lapping two stalls.

Laid back vibe, clean rooms. On site restaurant has good breakfast options. Quality of dinner options I would say are average. Staff responded promptly to questions and or requests. They provide valet parking which is helpful as the parking lot car spaces are small and tricky to park well. We had a very relaxing time at this hotel and preferred it over the bigger resort area we stayed at on a previous visit to Kauai.

We had an amazing stay at Kauai Shores in January/February. The reception, maintenance, valet and housekeeping staff were all friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel is perfectly situated by the beach, shopping and restaurants. We loved being able to sit at one of the many available beach loungers every morning to watch the sunrise and the surf. We saw whales breaching on our very first morning so it was a great start to our stay! The pool was always clean and tidy with various options for lounging. There are two fire tables for cozy evening socializing near to the Lava Lava Beach club, where the food and service were always great. It was a treat to have breakfast on the beach by the waves. We enjoyed the various musical performers there as well during the afternoons and evenings. There are many shops located right next door at the Coconut Market, as well as several dining options for coffee shops, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our room was on the ground floor with a lovely lanai looking at the garden and pool area. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was roomy. Linens and towels were clean and plentiful. The air conditioner was helpful in keeping our room at a comfortable temperature, whether it was a cooler day or a warmer one. We took advantage of the free bike rentals for an afternoon and had a fantastic scenic ride down the coastal path that runs beside the hotel. Overall an excellent stay and would highly recommend the Kauai Shores Hotel!

My husband enjoyed having someone come in and clean up our hotel rooms. Since 2020 and COVID, we have traveled to several nice places and housekeeping didn't enter the room until you are leaving. The housekeepers made sure we had clean big towels, threw the trash out, and straightened up. The rooms were clean and the grounds were very Hawaiians with all the beautiful plants.

The rooms were recently updated and very clean. The whole vibe was great. The restaurant/bar onsite had live music and a local who frequents the bar said the best bartender on the island works at the Lava Lava (onsite restaurant/bar). The parking spaces were a bit tight but they also had free valet parking. Overall and excellent time was had.

We very much enjoyed our stay and the facilities at the Kauai Shores Hotel and would happily rebook here without a second thought! It was convenient to restaurants, shops and many activities. Being centrally located on the island made it easy ( with a car) to reach key points of interest on the island. The staff was outstanding at meeting our needs and requests and the resort in general was well maintained and clean. The only issue that we encountered was the parking. The spaces allocated to self parking were very narrow and we frequently found that guests needed to use 2 spaces to accommodate their vehicles or found themselves in such tight spaces that it was nearly impossible to get in or out of their cars. Valet parking resolved the parking issue, but wasn't convenient if plans entailed frequent trips to/from the resort. The beachfront allowed for great ocean swimming and relaxing on site.

This is our second time staying here with friends. VIP got us a free bottle of wine. While I appreciate that, I had to choose that type of room. It is quaint, has everything you need on the premises, close to the airport- a fantastic place if you're getting in late and/or multiple people are coming in at different times. This will continue to be our meet up place as long as the price stays fair. BONUS morning yoga on the beach!

This is a budget friendly ocean front accommodation. My complaint is $30 a day resort fee; I would rather have the $30 a day just be added to the daily rate rather than having it separate. My other comment is about the bed. I was unable to move after each night. The bed was far too soft and offered no support. I'm the end I personally would not stay here again.

We loved your stay at Kauai Shores hotel. Very convenient location. Our hotel room was very clean and comfortable. Within steps from the ocean. The property was well maintained and very beautiful. We really enjoyed the free yoga in the mornings, and free bike rentals!!
