"This place was perfect for our stay - just a short drive to local restaurants, beaches and the golf course. It’s very very private even though close to the owners’ house. It’s compact but stylish with everything we needed. Comfortable bed, good hot water supply and the kitchen has everything for cooking but an oven. The little vege and herb garden was a nice touch and the outdoor bath tub was heavenly. We really enjoyed the views of Bream Bay and the countryside. Watching the local cattle moving...

My friend and I stayed here for Hidden Valley and had the best time partying, exploring Matakana and spending time in this wonderful private haven. "The property is exactly as shown in photos not a lot of room outside for the dog but it has a small fenced area so ok for little dogs. Very close to other houses but is quiet will need the car to get supplies. Surprised only one tv but loads of games for kids. Nice beds but a little hard. For the price it’s very expensive as just stayed at Waiheke and got a heated swimming pool and spa included for almost the same price Matakana is expensive and no beach views or country outlook. "The house is spacious, the carpet is lovely and soft, very well equipped kitchen, enough comfy seats for us and nice big garage with a few fun extras thrown in such as bikes and boogie boards. Could have done with two more fans so every room has one on these humid summer nights. Would be helpful to specify the cot is a portacot, not a full, solid cot. Also we could have done with a harness on the highchair. It was great to have shade on the outside dining table but needed shade for the outside...
