"We stayed at Poppies House for seven nights in January. Clean and comfortable. Nice firm mattresses compared to other places we have stayed at. Very close to the local shopping centre and food outlets. The table tennis table in the game room was given a good workout by all of us. Incidentally both the properties we stayed at this time had a TT table. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this listing to others. The owners were kind enough to leave the air conditioning running on our check-in day which...

"Very comfortable and cozy house with more than enough amenities. There were more than enough dishes for all of. We were 6 adults and 3 toddlers. Ample parking space for a 12 seater van/truck as well. All of us enjoyed the stay. Mark and Miriam was so friendly when I asked for a favour, they were more than happy to accommodate that which was a big help for us with 3 toddlers. "

"We recently stayed here as two families with kids, and overall, it was a nice experience! The upstairs part of the house was spacious and well laid out. The split-level design did make the rest of the house feel a bit different, and the steep driveway took some getting used to. However, the stunning views more than made up for it. The host was fantastic—super easy to contact and very quick to respond, which we really appreciated. The only downside was some of the unusual house rules regarding...

"Fantastic views of the Derwent River and bridge from both the lounge and kitchen. The property itself was old and tired and in need of updating. No instructions on how to work oven, microwave etc. It had been cleaned prifessionally but not very well, a dust, hoover and wipe down of surfaces. There were cobwebs up and down. We also had problems gaining entry to the property (even though the rental was fully paud for) due to a very stubborn letting agent."

"A lovely property with fantastic amenities. The location in Kingston is extremely convenient to everything you would need and less than 15 mins to Hobart CBD. Kingston Beach and Blackmans Bay nearby are delightful with relaxed but cool places to eat.Felt very at home and delighted with the residence which is an expanded stone cottage all very freshly renovated and with many welcoming touches."

"This lovely cottage lived up to our expectations. So charming, cosy, full of character. The views from front yard and top of the backyard are incredible. Great neighbourhood, close to everything in the city including Salamanca market, Battery Point, the wharf, cafes, shops, galleries. We loved the extra little touches in the cottage like the throw blankets in the basket in lounge room. The kitchen was perfect size for the 5 of us."
