"A charming boutique hotel. We were welcomed with a glass of port. The location was perfect. It was just a short walk over the river and down into the main shopping and restaurant area. The hotel has a lovely rooftop where you can sit to overlook the city And have a drink."

"This was an absolutely marvelous place. Admittedly there is not much to do in this quiet village, but we found that the comfort of the home kept us very happy. We especially enjoyed the fireplace with firewood included to create a very cozy ambience. The room is very thoughtfully designed and has lots of light. The staff at the breakfast were very kind and provided excellent service. I really enjoyed the chance to customise our breakfast before arrival. I would absolutely return here on a future trip to Portugal."

"This place is spacious and spotlessly clean. The owner is on site so she is always available should you need her, but everything you need is there and explained when we checked in. The outdoor area looks out over the rest of the property including gardens, grapevines, swimming pool, and the surrounding countryside. So serene! You definitely need a car to get around. It takes a little over 10 minutes to drive to a restaurant or supermarket. Do not miss the castle ! One of the best I have ever seen."
