The grocery store is 3-5 minutes away. The drive toAcadia took us an hour and ten minutes to an hour and a half due to traffic getting on the island. "Plenty of room for all of us to have some alone time, although we spent most of the time relaxing on the deck taking in the beautiful panoramic views. This is a sunny spot, and the weather was perfect all week! It could use another umbrella for shade because the deck is full sun most of the day, but we sat at a picnic table on the shady side of the house to get some reprieval. "We visit our son in Maine every year and this has been the best stay so far, the house is so beautiful and very clean. It is stocked with anything anyone could need. The beds are very comfortable, the sheets are top notch (I am very picky about my sheets..lol ) love that it had a washer/dryer, that sure did come in handy. This rental sure felt like home.. "This propeety was everything we expected and more. A large kitchen stocked with everything a cook would want. A farmer's porch to sit on and have your coffee while watching the lobster boats go in and out of the bay. The home is located on a sparsely populated peninsula perfect for de-stressing.
