Everything has even newly renovated. Host is super nice and will address any concerns or problems you may encounter. He’s very nice and accommodating. We really enjoyed our time there.

This cottage is wonderful. The host has put a lot of consideration into his space. We felt welcomed and comfortable. The ocean view is incredible with small boats and wildlife. Nearby is hiking at Petit Manan and Pigeon Hill Reserve. Beautiful views and wild blueberries await. Cant wait to return!

Peaceful serene and quiet. Amazing views. Came home rested and ready to go for another year Only 5 miles to get provisions. 30 feet to shore line. Had everything needed for a vacation and a few extra goodies.

Cabin so adorable and comfy! The view of water right out our window and sunrise was so inspiring. Great location to relax, hike and enjoy lobster. Even though nearing end of season still a lovely get away!

Really enjoyed our stay!
This cottage was so perfect for our stay. Very cute, well kept, and in a great location. We really appreciated being so close to the water and enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings. We also enjoyed roasting marshmallows by the campfire. The whole experience was very cozy and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!

Quiet getaway
We had an excellent long weekend! The views are gorgeous!! The property was quiet, cottage was clean and it had all the “household” stuff you need for cooking. We had a good time looking for cool rocks, watching the tide and sitting by the fire.

Wonderful rustic cottage with fabulous view.
The cottage was exactly what was described. It was rustic and charming. The view was absolutely beautiful! Walked out the back door to sit with our feet in the water and watch the boats, otters and loons go by. So peaceful. Our property manager was super nice and very attentive.

Picture Perfect Retreat!
Our stay was absolutely everything we hoped for. To start, the owner was absolutely wonderful with answering any questions we had before, during and after our stay- he honestly went above and beyond! We were nervous as this was our first ever week long rental - but it was even better than the pictures, beautiful, clean, and the location was amazing! Sunrise every morning was gorgeous- we saw seals and had little crabs in the tide pools that were so much fun to watch. So much to do nearby, that we didn’t even make it to Acadia! We explored the nature reserves and hiking and food all locally and it was perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone of any age looking for a calm and relaxing ocean side retreat!

Perfect sunrises
My husband and I had a morning ritual of watching the sunrise. We were able to watch the lobster boats pull out at sunrise. This place is a gem. The view from the living room is amazing. It is off the beaten path and not near the tourist traps. Bar Harbor. It is still close enough to go visit those but we only did that one day. There are hiking paths around and the north coast of Arcadia national Park, which is gorgeous. The owner is wonderful and it was a pleasure to meet him and get to talk to him. We will definitely be going back someday.

Soul Rejuvenation
The property is stunning. The ocean is literally footsteps from the property. The cabin had everything we needed and extra. It was nice sitting on the screened in porch while it was raining with a good book and enjoying a lunch on the picnic table out back. Both have a beautiful view. My soul feels lifted and lighter with this stay. The host is very kind and generous and is just a text or phone call away. Its hard to put into words how lovely the home is. I would highly recommend this property for your Maine vacation. Bar Harbor was about 35 minutes away and the drive was beautiful. The beds are comfortable and the appliances worked well along with the heater which warms the entire house easily. The large windows give fresh breezes throughout the house when it’s a slightly warmer day. We will definitely be booking and staying here again. Thank you!

The Maine event
This cute secluded cottage has everything: gorgeous views, screened in porches, comfortable seating and a very well appointed kitchen with everything you might need. Yet it has kept a rustic feel. We saw bald eagles and seals right from the cottage. Lots of things to do in the area if you are a nature lover. The only disappointment was missing the puffins. They leave mid-August, so if you want to see them (Acadia Puffin Cruise is 5 minutes from cottage), plan accordingly. Karl's suggestions about food and activities were very helpful too. And dog friendly to boot!

Relaxation station!
From the moment we turned into the driveway we knew this would be a memorable stay, and we were right! Cozy and comfy are great words to start with, followed by picturesque, spectacular, and incredible. It just doesn't seem possible to be stressed while on the property. Whether exploring the rocks lining the bay, or sitting in the living room looking through the huge bay windows, relaxation awaits at every turn. The host (Karl) obviously takes great pride in the condition of the property. The cabin and grounds were incredibly clean and well-appointed, with everything a guest could possibly need. Karl made sure we had all the information we needed for our stay and then checked in after we got settled to make sure all was good. We can't wait to get back!

Unbelievable, and a fantastic value
Karl, our host was wonderful, kind, and very helpful with pointing out local digs and places of interest. The camp was spectacular, decorated really cute, and the view, the view..., no words can describe. The camp is off Pigeon Hill Road totally hidden from everything except the ocean. Sunrises were gorgeous, and the rest of the day was just as nice. The main bedroom is very comfortable, and the second floor room with beds and sitting facilities were very quite roomy. The camp was well stocked with everything for cooking and dining, and the ocean side yard includes a picnic table, fire pit, grill, and even a lobster cooker. The Perfect Getaway
My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Karl’s serene and tranquil cabin on the water, and it was an absolute dream! Nestled in lush greenery and perched on rock overlooking the calm bay waters, the location couldn’t have been more perfect for nature lovers like ourselves. We awoke each morning to an ocean completely shrouded in fog, with the only sounds coming from the gentle lull of lobster boats passing by, just out of view. The cabin itself was a cozy haven with all the amenities one could need for their Maine getaway. It exuded rustic charm with just the perfect amount of space inside and out. Each day we steamed clams, crabs and lobsters that were purchased from the local lobster pound. Karl had several enormous pots and a stand-alone burner that allowed us to make everything outdoors before feasting at the picnic table on a small patch of grass between the house and rocks. There was no sense of having neighbors nearby. Never did we hear them, nor could we see them through the woods that separated the houses. There was so much to do nearby. Within five minutes drive are three wonderful hiking trails. While hiking there we spotted many deer and even a mink, as well as seals swimming offshore. The trails were lined with delicious wild blueberries. Thirty minutes away was the Schoodic side of Acadia, which was our personal favorite area of the park. There were very few people, and the trails were among the most beautiful we’ve seen.

Hidden Gem
This is a great cabin located in a nice private setting, with the ocean literally feet from the door. We enjoyed our stay. It was so relaxing and we got to see the full Hunter Moon rising right over the ocean. The cabin was clean and cozy, and the kitchen had everything you could need. We enjoyed day trips to Bar Harbor/Acadia, Schoodic Peninsula, Lubec and Campobello Island. I would rent this property again in a heartbeat.

Perfect In Every Way
We've vacationed on the Maine coast for at least 12 years and this was by far the best ever. The property is newly renovated, located right on the water and central to many day hikes and day trips. Acadia National Park and Campabello Island Canada are two of the ones we did, with perfect weather for each. Communication with Karl, the owner, was clear and welcomed by each of us and meeting him personally was a bonus. A variety of wildlife was seen throughout the week while hiking, kayaking and driving with the sea life of seals, whales and dolphins being most memorable. This rates a perfect 10 and we're already planning things we might enjoy doing on a return stay. Loved every minute of it!

Comfy cabin, idyllic location, wonderful host
Brass tacks first. Cabin is great. Very clean and has all the necessary amenities for the entire family. Lots of windows flood the living space with natural light and afford amazing views of the bay and surrounding islands. Besides the seagulls and occasional lobster boat, the only thing you'll hear is the gentle lap of waves on the rocks outside. When it's time to tuck in at night, the cabin has books, TV, DVDs, and internet so you can reconnect with the outside world (should you choose) and the beds are comfy. The location is great, within a short drive of Acadia and Schoodic Point. If you don't want to drive, it's a short walk from the cabin to Pigeon Hill for spectacular views (you really must make the climb, it's awesome). If you need some hustle and bustle, don't miss out on Bar Harbor which is about and hour away. If you're hungry, there are a ton of take-away joints nearby and Milbridge has groceries. We had a chance to meet the owner of the property. We talked about the history of the property and were able to pick his brain about things to do and see. Speaking of which, if you don't get the chance to meet Karl...he has left plenty of information in the cabin to help you find attractions, food, restaurants, etc. (FYI, we invited Karl to visit. He won't just pop in unannounced if that sort of thing concerns you.) My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Steuben. We will be back to Pigeon Hill for sure.
