"This is a great place to stay if you’d like to visit Costa Rica and really experience the city in a way tourists don’t usually get to. Warren was a fantastic host and will help you find whatever you are looking for. He was even available to take us on tours out of the city, all you have to do is negotiate a price (he was as good as any tour guide and less pricey!) I loved the stay there and was very thankful to find this hidden gem."

"We stayed here for the night before our flight home. Very bare bones, basic lodging, but that's what I paid for. The hostess was very nice, and she made an excellent breakfast, and the place is kept very clean. The neighborhood seemed a bit rough, but we just stayed in after dark and they have good security. If you do stay here and don't speak Spanish, have google translator ready- owners do not speak English. "

"It was so horrible very small ugly old fashioned and with staircase that I couldn't stay because i have problem with walking and problem with my back. So I had to go and look for a more better place. They said they understand and will return my money paid to them up to dat my money is not embourse to me. And they said the will. And it a lot of maney i paid for 10 days. I wish to get my money."

"Beautiful property and wonderful hosts! This was the best - and least expensive - accommodation during our two week stay in Costa Rica. Fernando’s breakfasts were delicious, the room was spacious and lovely - with a large jacuzzi! - and it was relatively easy to find. We felt like we were on a country estate."

"I want a full refund for Casa Memo! My other accomodations (The Backyard Hotel and Hotel Santo Tomas) were excellent as advertised. Hotel Casa Memo a disaster. We informed the hotel prior to booking of our late arrival, and upon arrival at SJO, our Rental Car Company called the motel informing that we would be later, 0030 hours. We downloaded the directions for Hotels.com and also used our GPS. It directed us to the location of Avenida 4 and Calle 3. There we did not find the hotel, no sign...

"I’ve stayed at many places but this is definitely one of my favorites. The building looks brand new and very well-maintained. There is a hangout room on the top floor with a huge Tv and coffee machine. Next to it is a small gym with a bathroom and a shower! There is also WiFi that works very well in both rooms! "A very nice place to stay. Friendly staff. Very clean. The breakfast meals need to have more variety. Their phone system when you they ask if you need English speaking staff and you press the corresponding number, the line disconnects. You end up having to call multiple times and eventually pressing 0 to reach someone. But the front desk personnel are top notch. The Sky Bar at the pool was never opened the times I went and expected someone to be there. I wish they did have a place to smoke cigars on the property instead by the guard booth outside the gate. Very close to the road and lots of bugs there. But still, I would recommend it to anyone going to Costa Rica. "

"We got what we needed, a comfortable stay at the airport after our late arrival. The room was clean and the breakfast was great - I really appreciated the cooked to order omelet or eggs. We did not explore other facilities as we checked out in the morning. We will stay here again on the way back, before an early morning flight. "
