The lady at the reception and two of the staff in the restaurant were amazing, kind and professional. I found the price of the restaurant very expensive and the opening hours for lunch and dinner very short (just 1 hour), not accommodated for a 4 star hotel. "If you are looking for quality food, this is the place. This is the first holiday in which we ate every evening meal at the hotel. The hotel location is towards the "Pines" camping area, about 6K from the centre of the strip. We used the free bikes during the day to get to and from Lido di Jesolo, and in the evening, used the bus (No 2 ) in, and used a taxi back which costs about €22. "We stayed four nights. The hotel is ok a 3- or 2+ standard. The poolarea is pretty worn and torn and would do well with a refurbishment. However, we didn't think this was any problem at all since the hotel is just 50 meters from the beach! The rooms were in a good 3 star standard and quite spatious with nice balconys. The toilet was also a bit worn out and would soon need a refurbishment. The location of the hotel is good. The reason for just good when its just 50 meters from the beach is that...

"This historic hotel is in a most convenient location within a stone’s throw of the train station and water bus stop. It is away from the high attraction tourist areas and near to some great dining, and shopping. The hotel itself has the best staff and service. They are always pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was amazing. The courtyard is beautiful and tranquil. This is the third time I have stayed here and will choose Hotel Abbazia every time. A great value and a wonderful stay."

"Location was perfect for me as near Alilaguna waterbus stop for airport transfers and other ACTV stops for places i wanted to visit. San Marco area, although busy, is a great place to be based for someone making a first visit to this fascinating and charming city. Lots of shopping outlets nearby, top end and touristy and plenty of choice for meals out. I really enjoyed my stay despite having been the victim of pickpockets on the crowded ferry to Murano. Be careful all of you. They are quick, clever, and opportunistic."
