"I booked through Orbitz and they had pictures of nice bathrooms and rooms, but the room we got was dark, super basic and the bathroom was tiny. My wife refused to stay there. Luckily they were able to upgrade us to a better room for $US160 for 2 nights to a very nice room. Still the shower was a mess, couldn’t figure out how to make it the right temp, had a weird setup. "Amamos ficar na Pousada Paradise, um verdadeiro paraíso! A pousada é linda, o staff do check-in é super educado e cordial. Tem uma piscina super gostosa com piscina infantil. O café da manhã é completíssimo e muito farto. Fica pertinho da praia do Indaiá, que é ótima pra crianças. A pousada tem uma equipe de recreação muito animada, meu filho amou brincar com os tios. "The hotel made sure to mention that English was available and the staff spoke it, but I only met one person who spoke English when I was checking out. That being said, I didn’t have too much trouble communicating. The view from the balcony is amazing and a 12/10. The hotel definitely seemed older than they let on with the pictures but otherwise a clean bed and towels. My issue is that the air conditioner did not work and two of the three lights in the room did not function. Difficult to shower...

"Charming swiss chateau style hotel, nestled in the woods of the Mantiqueira mountain range, clean and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of Campos do Jordao city center, and yet vey close.
