"We enjoyed the deck at El Refugio. The beds were also comfortable. Nice location and view of Ensenada. 4 stars on cleanliness because there were a few really dirty spots (top of glass over stove and top of fridge) where a simple damp sponge would have done wonders. Hot water appliance also failed and was tricky to get hot water. But we were able to contact on-site person and owner and everything resolved to our satisfaction (I was able to take a hot shower). "A great location on a steep hill with amazing views and sunsets to the docks and the ocean. The unit was tastefully decorated and our host was very accommodating. A great location to start your stay and go to Valle de Guadalupe to taste wine! We really enjoyed our stay and would come back next year!"

"It was a bit of a distance from where we wanted to be, near the race start. Interesting location, the studio we rented was in a gated area/backyard of I'm assuming the owners home. Looked like there were a few rental options on the property. Clean and cozy studio and felt safe. Would recommend!"

"Very walkable. Close to everything. Seemed like a safe neighborhood around the corner from the police station. There was a reserved space but it is not secure parking. My car was fine on the street though. The internet was fiber and super fast. Yhe only thing is the kitchen was not well appointed. No cutting board, knife, etc. Only a couple plates and glasses. Also only one small thin towel for a 10 -day stay. But mostly a great experience."

"We had a very positive experience with Rick and Sandra, from when we booked to check out. They were easy and responsive in their communications and the description is accurate. It is just south of the main drag, but has lots of local eateries and an easy bike ride into the centre. It was just lovely to walk on the beach each morning. "I was the for a family trip, funeral, so not really likea yea so fun. But it was a great place. Beautiful and clean. One thing that was not relaxing hot boiler went out so we had to take a cold shower at 5:30 am which is not fun in 50° degree weather but hey I grew up in Ensenada so I get it but did suck.
