Our first visit. Was wonderful guest service. Property views were beautiful (could use some remodeling) Wasn’t super crowded whic was nice. Food was ok but there were places within walking distance to eat too. I would go back

Wonderful visit, beautiful setting, delicious array of food in the buffet for all 3 meals, staff is fantastic, friendly and professional. As others have mentioned, the rooms need updating but it didn't deter from the visit. I didnt read anywhere about this, but you cannot flush toilet paper in the toilet, not just for the hotel but the island and even in a couple of locations on the mainland that we visited. It's an adjustment! The hotel should have provided more direction around this. A garbage can next to the toilet is not enough. Bags to deposit toilet paper in is a minimum of what would help. This shouldn't let it deter you however. The island of Las Mujeres has a wonderful feel. Many gift stores are touristy but fun. We enjoyed our trip immensely.

Beach it’s just amazing, small resort which is great . 5 min walk to the town . food not so great , not to many options , only 2 ala cart and not that great .disappointed with Mexican though would be more authentic Mexican food . night entertainment only for 1h and that is it so 8pm you in bed .

Read a lot of bad reviews before going. Very relieved most of them were wrong. The hotel is fine. Clean, quiet, excellent staff, food good. It’s not a mega hotel so the food options are limited as in they serve 100 guest rather than 300 at a large all inclusive resort. So yes, the pool is smaller, the entertainment is on the smaller side, etc. being on an private island was perfect as Northbeach was wall to wall people on the weekends with 20 to 30 boats parked from Cancun. Way too crowded for us so we were happy to be at the Mia. Town a five minute walk away, ferry building 10 minute walk. One thing to note is for any excursions you do from the hotel concierge or golf cart rental requires CASH only. Mia Spa and gift shop will take a credit cards. Staff very very friendly and the bar, restaurant staff VERY service oriented and charming.

Its definitely a touristy destination. If you are expecting a more traditional experience this is not the okace to go. The resort itself needs a lot of renovations and a lot more variety of their food selections. And be prepared to definitely be treated different from the VIP club members, including food and adult beverages.

If you’re looking for a low key resort with excellent service this is the resort! Staff and service were top notch. Property could use some upgrades. Rooms were clean, but dated. Food wasn’t the best but we didn’t starve. Buffet did have a decent selection. Rented a golf cart to go into town and see the sights, if your look for night life there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from! The beaches, I must say were the best I have seen, my husband and I have been to a many resorts in Mexico and the Isla Mujeres, Mia Reef Resort has one of the best! Clean, beautiful white sand and water so blue! It is the first resort we did not have to wake at dawn to fight for a lounge chair on the beach. It might be because we went the first part of Jan, not sure. If you’re looking for relaxing and quiet place this is the place! This resort will be on our list of places to return. Hopefully they will continue to update the rooms and buildings.

The view is amazing. Rooms are in poor condition with outdated and old furniture. There’s only one small pool and it’s not in good shape. Outside furniture is moldy and old.

The food has gotten better, awesome staff Guillermo, Roberto and others helpful & very friendly. The beach has a beautiful view, private but it's sad that it's getting smaller. Construction was going on & it's to be expected since the hurricanes Our room had an exceptional view but it had no dresser. We've been coming here for the last 8 years over the holidays but this year was the most kids we've seen there by far. Dinner at the Italian restaurant, makes for a great date night the food is very good, dress code needs to be enforced (guests will get the assignment). The new Mexican restaurant food was not very good (shouldn't have dinner after dinner). Mia staff selling Mia CLub memberships, some were pushy, condesending, insisttant on only 90 minutes of our time and some did understand that we were Not interested. We've been coming here for the last 8 years over the holidays, we're not certain if we'll be back next year if we'll be at one of the new hotels on the island.

We stayed at this property in 2018 during this time the property was very well maintained service was excellent throughout, the staff and Restaurants were also excellent ,beaches were excellent overall a 4 1/2 star at the time. Unfortunately, during our current stay none of the above Services were 4 1/2 star more like 3 star if that , now don’t misunderstand overall the hotel location the views and the beach is beautiful, but the structure is very deteriorated for lack of maintenance and care. Seems like the staff is not being managed properly. Food is also in decline versus our first stay in regards of the room it is absolutely borderline disgusting bathrooms have mold, toilets do not flush ,showers glass is dirty and full of soap scum, electrical outlets with USB not working, old furniture and beds My understanding they did go through a very rough hurricane season at some point but it’s been a few years back ,bridge between the Island mainland and the hotel is falling apart also the structure that was hit by the hurricane Pier is still going through rebuilding Overall, I just think the hotel needs more love and attention from management seems like they are not putting a lot of resources into this property and they should because it’s a very lovely setting.

The Mexican dinner is the best of this hotel, but you need reservation. It's very pricy on the island, but facilities in the room really need to be cleaned and upgraded. Very nice and friendly staff. They have the best beach on this island and keep it private for you to enjoy. Walking from ferry to the hotel is ok, it only takes 15 minutes, no need for a taxi which has a very long lineup at the ferry.

The staff and service was excellent, not one complaint about that. The resort is outdated, the food choice was very limited, but at least the taste was good. The biggest issue we had was the resort was under construction, which was not disclosed to us ahead of time or at check in, therefore there was a lot of noise and workers everywhere. We asked at the front desk about this and they apologized but said this is their "slow season" and they are doing the work now, but we did not pay a cheap price, quiet the opposite actually so that is very unfair to us.
