"Over all, this was an incredible trip! Anke met us with warm smiles and even sweeter hugs! I went for a relaxing birthday vacation in the warm sun and that’s exactly what I got. Anke even made me a cake for my birthday and it was the sweetest thing ever! The sea life is teaming right off the sea wall, we were even blessed to see Spotted Eagle Ray we named Flat Stanley. We made lots of fish friends, and scared off a barracuda or two. The water was always warm in the ocean and in the showers, despite what others have stated previously. Anke also took me out snorkeling and it is an experience I will never forget."

"We stayed during Carnival in July 2024 for 11 days, our second visit to the island. And honestly this house was a million times better than our last on the beach even. We wanted for nothing at Tony and Jo's. If I had a question or any need they were always happy to help! The check in process was so easy as Jo met us at the airport, it was meant to be the ferry dock but due to a flight delay Jo was able to change plans last minute for and meet us with our golf cart rental at the Utila Airport. Yes, they even arranged our golf cart rental and had it for us upon arrival! The house is in the perfect location, close to town but not in the middle of everything, with more than enough privacy at their home and around the pool. And the pool! Such a perfect escape from the heat. It is beautifully maintained and very large with benches in the water. The Champa was perfect as well, with lighting for at night and a bar within to serve up drinks poolside! I will say my one tiny complaint is the lack of lounge chairs. Sometimes we wanted to be lazy and lay around the pool, but could only sit in chairs. But this is a minor complaint. The house was clean, up to date, and the ac worked wonderfully in the bedrooms. There was also hot water.! A bonus as our last home did not offer that. I highly recommend Laguna Vista and would stay again. Even if not Laguna Vista, I would use Tony and Jo for any rental inquiries in the future."

"Enjoyed our vacation to Utila. Plenty of room for our family of 6 (all adults). Tony and Jo were very easy to work with and helped with golf cart rentals and even did some grocery shopping for us before we arrived. They met us at the ferry with our golf carts and even brought our luggage to the rental for us. We had a small issue with the AC when we arrived and it was handled promptly. Would highly recommend renting this property! Utila, thanks for the memories!!"

"Our stay at the 'Striking Beach Home' exceeded our expectations in every way. Cheri provided helpful guidance to help us make the most of our time in Utilia. The property, located a peaceful 15-minute golf cart ride from town, offered a serene and secure retreat. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a host who showed us around. The home itself was not only beautiful and exceptionally clean but also very comfortable. Mornings were a delight, sipping coffee on the deck while watching the waves. We had no issues with utilities; the house was well-stocked with 10 gallons of purified water which lasted us the entire week. The kitchen held all the supplies needed to cook and have meals at the house. Everything was in perfect working order, including the TV with various entertainment applications that could be accessed with personal subscriptions. The entire living area and both bedrooms had stunning water views. I cannot overstate the kindness shown by Cheri and Derick, and many of the lovely people of Utilia. Our magical time on the island was unforgettable, and we eagerly look forward to our next stay at this wonderful property!"
