Coral View Beach Resort
5/5 Excellent
"This place is really special! My wife and I have been to many dive resorts over decades of travel. The Coral View ranks very highly in our list of faves, primarily because of its no-hassle convenience of everything and their really nice and accommodating staff. These features make it among the best values and most relaxing we have ever experienced. The dive shop is out back on the bay, they have a really good restaurant on site, the bar is out over the water (with fantastic views), and you walk down a few steps off the bar and you’re snorkeling on a stellar reef. They have a huge, clean built-in pool adjacent to the bar and comfortable, although a bit limited, seating and sunning furniture. You’re far away from the total craziness of the Utila Town yet it’s easy to get there. We walked to town in about 20 minutes, but we recommend renting a scooter for convenience.
Our room was comfortable, very clean and gave us more than enough space. The bed was fairly new and comfortable. A/C was very good, and quiet. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. My wife needed a blow dryer, and they had one there the same day. We didn’t see one insect in the room during our entire week there. The water pressure often had problems delivering up to our fourth-floor room, but other guests told us it wasn’t too bad elsewhere. If we gave it some time, it did deliver ample hot water. Hey, it’s on a tiny island!
The dive shop is one of the most professional I’ve ever worked with in 4 decades"
