"On arrival at 13.00 we were told that we could not have our room key until 14.30. Fair enough although most hotels that we have stayed in have been flexible on this point. Asked if they had a room for luggage while we went for lunch. No but we could leave it in the lounge. "Cottage in centre of the village with a view of the historic church. Isla is a lovely historic village with a couple of bar/restaurants that were really good. The cottage was OK for our stay and a good base to visit the Cantabrian coast and mountains. Good size clean and tidy with plenty of towels and good bedding etc..
