"Lovely cottage which worked well for two families and was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. However, the outside is just as important as the inside from a customer experience point of view and the garden and hedges were in desperate need of cutting and pruning and the gravel drive was quite slippy and dirty from moss and weeds. A few minor niggles; despite the cottage sleeping 8 there were only 7 seats at the table in the kitchen and neither reception room could...

"Kippford is a pretty village on a beautiful river estuary and the location of Thornleigh is stunning - a stones throw from the beach where we swam and paddle boarded. The house is very spacious and well equipped with amazing views to appreciate the sunsets. The house is comfortable rather than luxurious but that suited us perfectly as we could relax and feel at home and we have all agreed that we will make Thornleigh an annual event!"
