"We have to do a huge shoutout to the amazing staff of the George Williams hotel. We arrived on the Wednesday before Cyclone Alfred was to hit land on Thursday. They gave us lots of information as well as had a plan for guests. They went out of their way to make every guest feel safe. Because Cyclone Alfred stalled we were able to get the last flight out of Brisbane before the airport closed on Thursday. "The property was very clean, although somewhat dated and in need of refurbishment. It is situated in a very convenient location, close to everything including the Mall, transportation and Southbank. "Liked room layout. Restaurant on ground floor was good - their takeaway meal service was a great idea. Footpath area and steps into Hotel were grubby and could do with a clean and maybe an update."

We can say enough about how wonderful it was to stay there. The rooms were clean. The bed was comfortable. Everything was in walking distance from the hotel. It’s a gem. "
