"The property is lovely, and the owner very resposive when light switch disintigrated. It was a shame the dishwasher program didnt work, the fire alarm fell from the ceiling and the tv was too old to take any form of digital equipment, nor did the dvd function work. Otherwise the cottage is lovely in a pretty spot The foul weather made tv more important I guess. It shortened our stay by half. "Kilbowie Retreat is a very comfortable and spacious apartment beautifully decorated but with a homely feel. Its waterfront location is superb with wonderful views across to Kerrera Island. We loved the peace & tranquility. It is a short drive into Oban … too far to walk… where we discovered our favourite seafood restaurant Ee-Usk. The mussels are the best ever! We can thoroughly recommend Kilbowie Retreat as very exquisite holiday accommodation."

"You are staying on a boat on land however it was modernised with flushing toilets and hot water and heating. Hosts Lynette and Angus were lovely and could not do enough for us, loved our welcome treats and nice touches throughout the boat. Perfect for a couple with medium size dog.
