"We stayed here for 3 nights as a family of 6 adults and were very comfortable. It was nice that every room had its own bathroom and the home was very clean. The views from the living room were stunning! "

"We had a great time on Skye, staying at Shore Cottage. It was just what we needed as a group of 3 couples travelling by van. We were able to spread out and relax. the views across the water to Portree and the Old man of Storr, first thing in the morning was fantastic. Well appointed with everything you need, great cooking facilitys and washing machine etc, to catchup with the laundry. A great place for a relaxing stay."

"The view, the yard, and the home interior were all gorgeous. It felt very much like a home, and we settled right in. The coal heating was a bit of an adjustment but my middle son.and I had fun figuring it out with the provided videos. Would absolutely stay again."

"It was a lovely clean place to stay. We were asked ahead of time how we wanted bed configuration, it was suggested we could all have king beds (beds could be pushed together & made up as kings) well none of the 3 beds were like that when we got there. Other than that it was close to shops, places to eat and Portree was lovely"

"We absolutely loved our 10 days in Flora's amazing cottage. Check in was simple and hassie free. It was very clean on arrival and was really well equipped with everything you could need for cooking meals. All appliances worked well and were very easy to operate. Very comfy beds, fluffy towels and the shower is amazing! "Overall, I liked this cottage. It is definitely out in the country so I hope anyone looking at this home understands that moths and spiders exist in the world. We named the spiders and left them alone and nobody was bothered by them. The other reason for the 3 stars on cleanliness was just because some of the bathroom items could have been cleaner, including the shower mat. Sandra, the owner, was super responsive and wonderful. However, they do have a property manager, and I tried to contact him...

"Our second visit and we just love this place so much. It’s in an amazing location, it’s spotlessly clean, furnishings are top notch, there’s just nothing negative to say. Mette is super lovely and communication is great, everything is clear and easy to understand- love the fact even the isolator switches for appliances have little labels telling you which is for which! The Backrest is an amazing place to stay on Skye, and I’m sure this won’t be our last visit. Thank you Mette & Sonia "

"The owner met us there and had the fire going. He was very nice and gave us a lot of pointers on where to go and what to see, not your typical tourist attractions. We were there for a few nights for our honeymoon and he had a little surprise waiting for us when we got there. If your looking for a quiet cool little place to stay I would highly recommend staying here. Our only negative was the bed was a little small for someone who is a bit taller."

"Beautiful, remote home in Skye. Near a wonderful restaurant, The Stein Inn, near beautiful hikes, and overall very cozy. Would not hesitate to recommend( however would warn that the kitchen utensils and implements are quite sparse so choose your groceries wisely. "

"ARUS is a very nice modern home - spacious and great views. It has all the amenities that a person / family would need for a stay on the Isle of Skye. It is a short distance from Portree by car but perhaps too far to walk frequently into Portree (2 miles). The property was clean, quiet, and very comfortable."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Armadale Castle, the view from the place was amazing. My husband and I went during their off season so they place was pretty much to ourselves, I personally loved how quite it was and how close the store was to the place. We plan on booking again when we go back to Scotland."
