"My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our Sri Lanka trip. The rooms were very big and clean, and it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. The staff were great, and organised a safari trip for us, and a very early excursion to Lions Rock. The hotel was quite far away from main attractions, and where local restaurants and bars are (about 20 minute drive). This was fine for us as we hired a moped so we could come and go as we please. "The hotel is average. Rooms are clean and spacious. Amenities are good. What I didn’t like is the breakfast dining hall which is open from all sides and flies are roaming around. The butter was left open which should have been covered to ensure hygiene. Lots need to be improved."

"The staff were excellent and extraordinary welcoming. We are an elderly couple and the staff took care of us like we were their own children. The chief went out of his way to ask me what food I liked and cooked it especially just to make us feel welcome. That was not necessary but the warmth of the team made our holiday excellent. "Lovely peaceful hotel with amazing cabins. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Pool and bar area was lovely and clean - hard working pool guy there. Breakfast was great buffet style. We went out to dinner to nights we were here but there is a restaurant. 10-15 mins walk from Lions Rock entrance so great location. "

"My friend and I spent a night here and we got to meet the owner, who lives in London. We were treated very well and the staff was very accommodating and took great care of us. The room was comfortable as well. It is located in a very remote area, but there are some restaurants within walking distance and it is very close to Sigiriya Rock. "

"We loved staying at this hotel and found the setting and scenery very beautiful. the hotel consists of little bungalows inside the forest, right next to the lake. I would like to see more information about the hotel services to be more readily available in the rooms and public areas (ie spa & other facilities). the pool should be renovated and enlarged. Also the hotel should provide some paddle boats and kayaks for rent so that people can enjoy the beautiful lake."
