"Atlantica Jungle Lodge is possibly the most beautifully situated hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The constant sound of the ocean and jungle sounds made me feel like I was Robinson Crusoe. Ihla Grande is a beautiful island and this was an amazing rest and break from the world, just 15 minutes walk from Lopes Mendos beach, which is jaw dropping. Don’t stay anywhere else on Ihla Grande, this is heaven. But bring mosquito spray! "

"The pousada was homey and comfortable. The colored bungalows made it feel a bit like a sleepaway camp and the home cooking made it feel like staying with a family. Great place if you're not looking for anything too upscale and are happy with mellow vibes. The grounds are beautifully kept and there's a nice, small pool. It's isolated on its' own more remote part of the island, but it's a short walk out to the dock to hop on a boat and explore the other wonders of Ilha Grande. "
