"Peaceful, love the trees - the house is big, quiet, warm, clean and in very good condition. Well stocked. All we could want and loved the roomy kitchen with lots of counter space. Our dogs liked the hiking in the area. We would stay here again."

"The location was great, Amy the host was very accessible. The house is very spacious and comfortable, equipped with extra supplies in the pantry and for cleaning up if needed. Very quiet and relaxing neighborhood. We went for our sons graduation at Val poly Humboldt, and couldn’t ask for a better place to stay! I would definitely book again if I find myself in that area again."

"Our-of-the-way and right on golf course. Very quiet (except for mowing of greens). We had 18 people at maximum occupancy, with beds for almost everyone, and even then, the place didn't seem crowded. We all fit around inside table and outside table, at fire pit (and near grill), for much reminiscing (this was a memorial trip). Three bathrooms, thankfully, not two, and they are well-appointed; true, we had to make a TP run (and also to get coffee filters), but otherwise the place was well-stocked....

"Amy has a little gem of a property. Very comfortable and close enough to walk to a grocery store, also a delightful coffee shop just across the road. My granddaughter had hours of fun playing in the expansive back yard, safe from traffic due to the surrounding hedges. This wonderful cottage will be calling us back when we visit our Cal Poly student again."

"We couldn't have been more delighted with our stay at Bowie & Jay's Beach House. The place is spacious, comfortable, well-maintained, and well situated. Jay provided a very complete notebook of instructions and ideas for making the most of the stay. We were visiting family nearby, and it was easy to gather with them here. Everyone had a great time. We live in Pennsylvania, but we can't wait to return, when possible. Thank you, Jay, for your excellent hospitality!"

"Place is much bigger than it looks in the photos. Nicely set up outside of town. I almost gave the overall rating 4 stars because the beds were very soft. I prefer firm, but I’m also a very sensitive sleeper, so that may not be the case for others. It is as very clean and quiet. Host was an excellent communicator! "

" Centrally located and within walking distance to the zoo. We contributed to Eureka’s economy, went to some beautiful beaches and an art gallery. Left before the earthquake, thank goodness. Nice large house with many rooms. Lots of kitchenware. Felt very safe. Beautiful redwoods all around. Had a good time. "
