"We expected a tiny cottage but this was a roomy cottage. We enjoyed the artwork and artifacts around the house and appreciated the wonderful log burner which warmed the whole house. The kitchen was well designed and had everything that we needed. The kune kune pigs with the cute kitten who seemed to live with them were a bonus. We would have liked to have met our hosts or spoken to them - they were obviously interesting people. We live in Otago and plan to revisit in the spring to check out the garden (and the pigs). "

"Lovely quiet spot in the farmyard...farm activity going on nearby...dogs, sheep, utes, whistling, and a verandah in the sun to oversee it all or stroll off down the paddock. Very special."

"After driving a long time on gravel roads, we finally arrived at the rental house, which was difficult to find. We decided not to stay as it wasn't near anything but country hills and sheep. When we went to leave we discovered we got a flat tire, and had to stay the night. We weren't allowed a key and the back door didn't lock or close properly. The host gave us a small amount of money back and offered to drive our luggage to a paved road. This cottage is more for their farm workers or their personal guests. "
