"It was a great experience. We were traveling as a group of 14 and felt welcome and supported through it all. The owner is a wonderful man that did all he could to make us comfortable. It is an out-of-the-way location, but that made the Northern Lights even cooler. We were perfectly set for the day trips we took into the peninsula. The included breakfast was fresh and filling. We had the dinner soup one night and it was delicious! His staff was polite and helpful. This really is a great little hotel!"

"We stayed for about a week over new year for a friends reunion and the not so secret hope of catching the northern lights. The property is lovely, the views are incredible, and the host was very kind and communicative. We cooked in the lovely kitchen each day and took small trips to local sites (waterfalls, hot springs). New year's eve at about 10:30/11 we had a spectacular view of the northern lights from inside and all around the property. Highly, highly recommend if you're looking for a similar experience. "

"My family stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our holiday Iceland trip from the states. The host had great communication and was very prepared with check in and home instructions. The place was very clean and we felt very comfortable during our stay. We only wished we stayed a little longer to be able to see all the sights in the area. Would definitely recommend renting this home for an experience outside of the city. "

"Beautiful spot and cosy"

"We stayed in the bungalow which was very new and clean. It looks exactly as presented in the pictures. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was decent. The bungalows have their own outdoor hot tub and sauna area which was nice. There are about 12 bungalows total (I think), so it could get crowded in that hot tub and sauna when the hotel is busy given they weren’t very big. It seems like a good place to see northern lights, we just didn’t get lucky during our stay. Only downside from our stay was no smart tv (unless we just weren’t able to figure it out), but you can easily plug in an Amazon fire stick. Also, due to some issue, the hot tub was more like a warm tub. We recognize things happen so we won’t let it affect the review, but still disappointing. Overall would recommend"
