"A big, spacious and very substantial house rather than a cottage. Full of character and old charm. Located in the very centre of Whitby so close to anywhere you want to go. It’s a cobblestoned street, narrow, quirky and full of history. Only one inconvenience was lack of outside parking.You can unload your luggage in front of the house and the host supplies a parking pass so you can park free at nearby car park.However the pass doesn’t warrant a space. I supposed it’s something you need to put...

"We stayed here with the in laws and our 2 young children for 5 nights. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us and lots to do in the surrounding area, mostly accessible by car with a few walks from the village. The host was friendly and communicative but we had total privacy throughout our stay. "

"We stayed at Launde Barn for a family birthday celebration and I would recommend the barn and its hosts in a heartbeat! Barn was modern, smartly furnished, very well equipped (kitchen and outdoor games especially), and cleaned to a very high standrard. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor space with the calming backdrop of the sheep.Cyntra and Marcus were very welcoming and communicative hosts from the outset. Highly recommended and we would love to return. Thanks for a great few days :-)"

"Stayed for a long weekend and had a great time. The location was perfect, check in process as easy as it could be and property met all expectation! Would definitely stay again if we are ever re visiting Whitby and would highly recommend for anyone looking for the perfect spot! "

"We would recommend a holiday at "Fern Lea" in Glaisdale. It is a very well organised and comfortable place to stay, winter or summer. The view from the front of the bungalow, across part of the North York Moors, is truly spectacular on a clear day. When we stayed we had the pleasure of brand new bed linen and towels. On-site parking for two cars is also a welcome advantage."
