"Had very comfortable and affordable stay whilst visiting family in Hitchin. Would definitely consider returning. All staff were very helpful. Left a couple of items in the room on leaving and these were cheerfully found and kept on reception for pick up. "

"Lovely location Manageress really unfriendly. Bar staff turned up late to serve breakfast on only day it was available. Returned back from long day to the joys of a circular saw outside my window. No chance of a nap then. Off peak season you will not get breakfast on Monday and Tuesdays and pub closed, but they will still charge you the same rate and won't tell you this until you've already book- somewhat lacking in transparency. "Loved the place. It’s really centrally placed for Windsor and Eton. The staff, food and rooms are lovely. Our bed was super comfy and the room had the unique feel you’d expect from a very old hotel. We had a special bay window looking over Etons high street and this made the room even more unique. If you want something different from a chain and the dullness that this brings give the place a go"
