Beyond that, it's in a great location, is very clean and is reasonably priced. On the downside, there were some problems with the room--the main closet door was broken, and a request to repair didn't get a response. The towel warmer cut out after the first day (not a terrible problem, but it would have been nice if it worked!). Overall, though, I was really happy...

"We loved the staff at Wilde so friendly and outgoing. We were less enamored with our rooms. Some things in both rooms we had didn’t function properly (blinds, lights, etc). Room was either freezing ir we had the heat off or felt like a furnace or we had it on. We also found that the “apartment” part of the room was not well utilized by us. "This was a great stay to be in the center of Old Town Edinburgh. We lucked out with how amazing this hotel was and where it was located. It is literally on the street from St Giles Cathedral and Scott monument was visible through our hotel window! Highly recommend."

"I have stayed in many accommodations In Edinburgh but this has got to be one of my favs they thought of everything even down to a little magnet that covers the cooker digital click incase the light bothers you at night ! Room was beautiful and so clean alongside the amazing attentive staff this is a property I will most definitely be visiting again "
