"Such a quiet, secluded place which a perfect stop halfway round the Golden Circle. It is so close to Geyser and Gullfoss and means you can arrive there early to beat the queues. The cottage we stayed in was well presented and the hot tub was a nice touch. The food at the onsite restaurant was great and the owner very friendly and helpful "

The town is Selfoss is just a few minutes down the road and in the other direction, all the splendor of the south coast waterfalls await. "I have nothing negative to say about this property. They have thoughtfully equipped the house with everything you could possibly need. The hot tub is a bonus and we used it to watch for the Northern Lights every night. All communication before and after arrival was answered very quickly. "I loved this cottage and was so sad to leave! I have never stayed at such a comfortable and cozy place. We arrived late at night and it was such a breath of fresh air walking into the cottage. Everything was just perfect. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. We were close to the golden circle and south coast so a slow exploration of the area was possible. "

It was a hub for lots of great day trips, but there was plenty to do in the house as well -- lots of great games, a beautiful kitchen to cook and eat in, and views galore. We didn't have time to use the hot tub, but I imagine that would also have been delightful!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The only downside was that it felt a bit chilly, and we couldn’t find any instructions on how to adjust the heating. The property is quite remote, so we strongly recommend using a 4x4 vehicle to avoid getting stuck in a snowstorm, as we nearly did. Despite this, we highly recommend this property—it’s a fantastic place to stay!"

"We stayed four nights here in January 2025. Had a wonderful time. Photos are accurate, and kitchen is well stocked. It feels like staying at a friend’s cabin. We caught the northern lights two out of four nights. It’s a great base location to explore the Golden Circle sights. Vista I’m from the porch is spectacular. We had a great time there and would definitely go back. "
