"Beautiful unique location in a valley along a river surrounded by steaming mountains. On site restaurant was fabulous with some of the dishes cooked in the hotels hot spring. Service was excellent. The facilities seemed a little run down but clean. Pool was out of service but hot pots were excellent. "

"We stayed for one night as we travelled around Iceland. We stopped here after driving around the golden circle. The room was very nice and clean. We were quite disappointed to not have use of the spa included as the listing suggested it was included for the 2 of us to use it once during our stay. It was well located and a few minutes walk from a food hall with lots of options for an easy dinner after a tiring day. Breakfast was ok but the food wasn’t amazing. "

"A lovely hotel in wild, tranquil surroundings. Food was excellent, albeit a limited choice. For a holiday hotel, breakfast finishing at 10.00. was annoying, especially on weekends. Bed and room were small but comfortable and had most everything you needed, except tissues. On the downside, the lighting throughout the hotel is dreadful, especially the restaurant, but there is absolutely nowhere where you can sit and read, even in the bedrooms.. "The staff at Hotel Ranga are extremely accommodating, helpful and friendly. I visited on a family trip and the hotel staff were responsive and helped to book all our excursions through the hotel in Iceland. We also had last minute changes to our excursions and the staff helped my family make changes to our itinerary very last minute."

"The room and bathroom were relatively small but worked for us. We did not like the hot tubs and they were not warm enough, only 38C. Sauna was ok. We enjoyed the breakfast, good selection and good coffee."

"I wish I stayed there longer. The southern peninsula is awesome..geothermal stream and natural pools..hiking, northern lights, grocery store. A car is best so you can drive to Secret Lagoon, Selfoss..maybe to Reykjavic cause a cab is like $175. From KEF to Hveragerdi, same back to Reykjavic. "

"The hotel is small, but everything exceeded our expectation. Staff is friendly and helpful. The room is very clean. The location is superb for visiting Geysir. Breakfast included at Hotel Geysir is great. We had a very good stay!"

"This was an amazing hotel. It is perfect for persons going on excursion/trip. The rooms are simple but the beds are comfortable. They have a hot tub outside, which was more than welcome. The staff is very nice and accomodating."

"Such a lovely, unique experience staying in a private ‘igloo’. Everything about the igloo has been well thought through. There are 3 heaters and electric mattress warmers to ensure warmth in the cold months. They were very effective. If the Northern Lights had been visible during our stay, we would have had the perfect view. "We spent 3 nights at this cottage for exploring parts of the Golden Circle. The cottage was a perfect home away from home. It had the necessary amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The dining and living room areas were a decent size for a family of 4-6 people. The bunk bed and pillows weren’t the most comfortable.
