"Home was in perfect location for intermediate skiers. Ski in right behind house. Parking was terrible. The house shares parking lot with neighbors and they had 5 vehicles parked there over the weekend in a lot that will hold 3. They did leave us one spot. We found parking areas along the street. We had no firewood for the fireplace, couldn't find any trash bags or dish washer detergent so we used our own and washed dishes by hand. Would be helpful if there were directions to operate the heating...

"We stayed with another family, 8 people total. The layout of the house was perfect and very accommodating for 4 teenagers. The house was clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. We all enjoyed the hot tub. Holly was very kind and quick to respond to my messages. The only thing that was a little confusing, was the place was advertised as “ski in/ski out”. We did not ever see where that was possible? The house was not close enough to the slope to be considered ski...

"The place was beautiful however a few issues arouse that weren't previously known until rental agreement with no refund possible. Jets in jacuzzi tub were broken, gas grill filthy, gas fire place regulator was broken, so only worked if you held knob down. Ash bucket from fireplace was full from previous rentals. Beautiful place that needs better upkeep. However these small complaints I would recommend!"

"We all loved the home. We were so comfortable and enjoyed all of the upgrades throughout the house. It was perfect for our gathering, and we hated to leave. The host was remarkably responsive, and went out of his way to ensure that we had a pleasant stay."

"Quiet neighborhood with a heavenly view. It snowed while we were there, and the area roads management was impressive.Property is reasonably well-appointed. Perhaps geared more toward an adult party venue, we did find family-oriented supplies limited. Bring your own games, books. I would not recommend this property for families with young children for obvious reasons. The price of the view is a higher risk of slip/falls on the back incline, especially in snow.This rental is a special blessing...

"The home is very secluded and has a magnificent view! The interior is gorgeous and perfect for a couple. The home faces west so the sunsets over the mountains and the James River are spectacular! There isn't a lot nearby in terms of grocery stores or restaurants. You'll have to travel 20 mins or so (as far as we could tell) to get to anything like that so bring your groceries. "The communication was excellent before and during the stay - they checked in and followed up with us. The property had everything we needed for a great weekend. A quick 2 minute drive to the Wintergreen restaurants and small store. "

Very basic amenities and light blankets on the beds - would definitely recommend bringing extra blankets (and towels) if you plan to stay for a cold weekend.
