"The hotel is very dated and the rooms a little quirky. Our room in particular sloped in various directions the tv bureau sloped one way and the desk table another. Difficult when trying to make a coffee in the morning when the cup slides down the table. However an enjoyable stay."

"The general ambience of the hotel is very calm and pleasant. But it lacks attention to detail. Replenishment of the coffee was a bit lax. Decaf coffee pods replaced by normal and i’m not allowed to drink caffeine! The bed springs were sticking through and the hotel needs a refurbishment. The restaurant is okay fo breakfast but not for an evening meal. My big gripe is that management couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge my concerns It’s convenient and staff try hard but … "

"Stayed for 1 night for my husband's birthday. Horwood house sent me options for additional extra's that I could add to our stay at a price such as cake etc. I chose not to add any thing on as they were quite expensive. Lots of parking on site & parking is free which is very helpful. Check in was super easy & quick. We had the option for a late checkout for £10 per hour which we booked 2 hours extra for a cost of £20 which we thought was very good. We stayed in a stable king room, very private...

"Probably the best value hotel room I’ve stayed in. Yes, the hotel is old, dated and in urgent need of some repair. BUT for £60 for a large room, castle view and walkable distance to all of the tourist attractions, it’s a good deal. Not sure what the deal was with the little homemade sandwiches in the foyer though….? Btw, I’m actually a local resident and was staying here for one night while I was exchanging/completing on my property. Served its purpose well. "

"Always stay here as the service is the best in MK! Had no clue you had to pre-book the carpark now as its a change of management. Having downloaded the app and tried to book the parking, it was fully booked! Note for next time. Also could have displayed it on the hotels.com website so customers are aware prior to travelling by car. "

"It’s a beautiful hotel. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. It’s a perfect location for Windsor town centre and for going across the river to Eton. The Brasserie served a lovely breakfast and you can have a riverside view too. The staff were very helpful and did everything you’d want them to. Will definitely stay again. "
