"The host is friendly and professional taking an interest in ones stay without being intrusive. Really comfy bed, clean bathroom with all one needs . Clean and crisp bedding, tv and nice level of lighting. An air of grandeur about the room, tea and coffee selection with bottled water. Great full english breakfast promptly brought to the table and attenrive hosting throughout. Seperate lounge area very comfy with dvd and book selection if you want. "I stopped for one night on business and found it to be a real gem. Lovely friendly team and amazing restaurant with high end menu choices and very well cheffed food. It was Tuesday evening and they looked fully booked for food which said a lot to me. Great selection of beers too. Parking on site was free and had a lovely breakfast in the morning nd great chat with the owner in relation to its aerospace connections. Overall would stay again 100%"

"We were given room 4, apparently it has an Infamous reputation as the lad who looks after the hotel called a few hours before check-in to ask if we wanted to find alternative accommodation due to the amount of complaints they have about this room. Unfortunately Hotels.com were not especially helpful in changing our booking and we were about to set off so opted to just keep the room. It is at the top of the hotel, 4 flight of stairs up. There is no bathroom, you have to share the one on the 2nd...

"Lovely spacious room. Comfy bed. No one on reception when we got there on Friday Dec 27th but after ringing a phone number and leaving a message we were greeted by the owners son. We were asked if we wanted a meal that night or breakfast in the morning which we didnt need. It would have been nice to visit the bar on Friday pm but we found it closed at 9:45pm when we tried to visit it. Maybe it would be open later a different day or in the summer. A pleasant stay if you want to stay in your room."
